To ensure a smooth and efficient notary session, please bring the following items to your appointment:
The Document to Be Notarized: Ensure that the document is complete and ready for notarization. Do not sign it beforehand unless instructed to do so during the appointment.
Valid Photo Identification: This could be a state-issued driver’s license, a passport, or any government-issued identification that includes your photo and signature. The ID must be current or issued within the last five years.
Payment for Notary Services: Be prepared to cover the fees for the notary service. Check our website or contact us in advance to confirm the payment amount and accepted methods.
Any Witnesses Required: If your document requires witnesses in addition to the notarization, please bring these individuals with you. Witnesses must also present valid photo identification.
Additional Documentation: If applicable, any additional documents related to the notarization process as advised by Trusted Stamp Notary or your legal advisor.
For a document to be notarized, it's crucial that we verify your identity with a valid, government-issued photo ID. Below are the forms of identification that are typically acceptable:
State-Issued Driver’s License: A driver's license from any of the 50 U.S. states or a U.S. territory.
State-Issued Identification Card: An ID card issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent) of any of the 50 U.S. states or a U.S. territory.
U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card: A current U.S. passport or passport card.
Military Identification Card: IDs issued to U.S. Armed Forces members.
Permanent Resident Card (Green Card): Issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
It's important to understand that while notaries at Trusted Stamp Notary are highly trained in notarial laws and procedures, they are not attorneys. Therefore, we cannot provide legal advice, interpret legal documents, or advise about how a document might affect your legal rights. Here’s what we can and cannot do:
Can Do:
Verify the identity of the signers.
Ensure that documents are signed and dated.
Witness the signing of the documents.
Apply our official seal and signature to documents requiring notarization.
Cannot Do:
Provide any legal advice.
Offer opinions about the contents of a document.
Suggest how you might fill out a document.
Determine which type of notarization is necessary for your document.
If you have questions about the content, purpose, or how to complete your document, we highly recommend consulting with a licensed attorney or the person/agency that provided or requested the document. Our role is to facilitate the notarization process with integrity and according to the law, ensuring the authenticity of the signatures involved.
